Earle Howard Fenderson, 92
PORTLAND - Earle Howard Fenderson passed away Dec. 13, 2016. Earle was born in Portland on March 1, 1924.
In 1943, after graduating from Portland High School he joined the Army. He was honorably discharged in 1946. While in the Army he served as a Surgical Technician. He served in Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.
He was given American Theater Campaign Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, Purple Heart GO#60 Hq21 Gen Hosp Mar. 1945. European African Middle
Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon.
In recent years he talked a little about his time in the Army. He loves to tell the story of being shot by a woman.
Earle worked three jobs so as to provide for his family and retired from W.L. Blake.
Earle enjoys playing Solitaire and Rummy. He loved to go to the fairs and parades. He loved going out to eat. He loved seeing Amanda at IHOP and always
had to say Hello to Dave at Ken's Place.
He is survived by his daughters Linda Lincoln, Diane Miller, Sharon Burnell and husband Steve. He is survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and
nieces and nephews and his God Child Michael Vasile.
He is predeceased by his parents Howard and Isabelle (James) Fenderson, His wife of 58 years, Arlene( Bonvie) Fenderson, his sister Betty (Fenderson) McDowd,
and his brother and sister-In-law, Herbert and Peggy (Tisdale) Fenderson.
At Earle's request there will be no visitation. At a later date the family will have a Private Graveside Service at Calvary.
A special thanks to the staff at Genesis/Springbrook. While at Springbrook he enjoyed playing Bingo and listening to my sister and husband share in music. He
enjoyed the donuts and candy we would bring him as he loved sharing it with staff and residents.
