Is A.T. Hutchins a franchise?
A.T. Hutchins is not a franchise and it is not owned and operated by an out-of-state large national chain.
Who owns A.T. Hutchins?
A.T. Hutchins is a locally owned funeral home. It is owned by A.T. Hutchins, LLC.
What are the benefits of being independent and locally owned?
We have known many of your families for many generations. We are all members of the area community and have been for years. All decisions are made locally.
Why preplan?
Preplanning relieves the stress of planning and funding for your family at the time of your death.
Do I own the Trust or does the funeral home own the Trust?
You own the Trust. The funeral home is only the Trustee.
I already have a Trust; can I transfer it to another funeral home?
Yes, a trust can be transferred at anytime, before or after someone dies.
If I preplan now, do I have to pay now?
No. It is up to you whether you decide not to pay anything, a portion, or in full. However, there are advantages to paying in full.
Can someone have a viewing if cremation is selected?
Yes.
Is embalming required for cremation?
No. However, if you select certain services such as an open casket public viewing, embalming maybe required.
